Conscio Technologies psyched up for Infosecurity 2013 with Rapid Awareness

Logo ConscioPRLog (Press Release)Apr. 4, 2013Conscio Technologies, the software developer of Sensiwave, the turnkey awareness-raising solution in SaaS mode, is extending its service range by rolling out Rapid Awareness. Conscio Technologies will present Rapid Awareness at the Infosecurity 2013 trade show, to be held in London between 23 and 25 April.

Conscio Technologies is a specialist software developer that supplies companies and other client entities with awareness-raising solutions (as training tools, among other applications) in SaaS mode. The company’s flagship package is Sensiwave. Today, Conscio Technologies is announcing the launch of Rapid Awareness, which represents an extension of its service offering.

Whatever the client entity’s sector of activity may be, the organisation continuously meets new challenges and is faced with new regulations on an ongoing basis, which require compliance with a number of security and confidentiality rules. This pushes today’s businesses towards raising the awareness of co-workers in order for the entity to better comply with the evolving regulatory demands.

In order to respond to this need in a fast and effective manner, Conscio Technologies has created Rapid Awareness — a turnkey solution which is accessible on line, in SaaS mode, or in Box form. This new service incorporates an awareness-raising campaign designed to meet international standards and the demands of certification audits (such as FISMA, ISO, HIPPA, PCI, etc.).

Rapid Awareness is built around interactive contents (i.e. sketches, 3D videos, quizzes, and so on) for setting up a practical, real-life example of the relevant situation or problem — for example, a case study focusing on the issue of information security in the workplace, with a view to training the workforce in this respect and avoiding future breaches of security. In due course, Rapid Awareness generates a complete report, which enables the client entity to take stock of the results and impact of the awareness-raising campaign that has been conducted.

In order to enable the client to have genuine flexibility in the use of Rapid Awareness, but also because raising awareness is not only done on line, Rapid Awareness is also available as a complete case study, called Box. This includes a full guide to help the user determine a best-practice approach in matters of awareness raising; an awareness-raising campaign in CD-ROM format, together with its interactive content (i.e. sketches and quizzes); and, finally, the necessary tools in order to raise awareness among co-workers (with dedicated PPT content).

Easy to use, the Rapid Awareness Box enables the client entity to comply with requirements in three key stages, as follows. First of all, the client entity is able to configure its awareness-raising campaign by choosing a specific theme — information security, PCI DSS, business ethics in the workplace, healthcare, sustainable development, etc. Second, the Rapid Awareness Box facilitates the registration of the users or target population for the awareness-raising campaign. Finally, the client entity is in a position to launch the campaign and subsequently gather all relevant statistics, from participation rates and average costs to expansion parameters, proportion of correct answers given, and so on.

As a ready-to-use solution, ideal in relation to a specific need for raising awareness, Rapid Awareness can be said to represent the most effective solution — both technically and economically — in order for the business to achieve compliance. Rapid Awareness can be tailored to all types of users, in terms of company size and types of activity.

Conscio Technologies has priced the Rapid Awareness package in proportion to the size of the target population: from a rate of £690 (exclusive of tax) for a group of fewer than 100 users, with the price going up in proportion to the number of users.

Rapid Awareness is a new service, launched by Conscio Technologies in the first quarter of 2013. The specialist company will present its latest solution at the Infosecurity 2013 trade show, which will be held from 23 to 25 April of this year at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, in central London. Conscio Technologies will have a stand on the French Pavilion at the trade fair.

About Conscio Technologies

Conscio Technologies is based in Paris (France) and London (UK). The company was founded in 2007 by Michel Gérard and Fabrice Frade, together with Grant Partners, a Belgian investment fund.

Conscio Technologies has developed Sensiwave, which is an innovative, interactive and flexible software solution facilitating the implementation of in-house awareness-raising campaigns within client entities. The platform developed by Conscio Technologies takes over the management of users and content, the creation of interfaces and communication portals, the uploading of material for the internal campaigns (aimed at the client entity’s staff), and the extraction of statistical data (individual and collective).

Conscio Technologies will be attending the Infosecurity trade show, due to take place at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, in central London, from 23 to 25 April 2013. The specialist company will be on the French Pavilion.

Right Start Colocation Support, Helping SME’s into Colocation

PRLog (Press Release)Apr. 5, 2013SURREY, London, U.K.March has seen the official launch of Netwise Hosting’s exciting new Right Start Colocation Support concept, a library of supporting services designed to get SME’s on their feet when new to the colocation marketplace.

http://www.netwisehosting.co.uk/server-colocation/right-s…

The company’s Right Start Colocation Support page has already seen impressive traffic figures as more organisations begin to realise the benefits associated with outsourced IT infrastructure.

The new set of services have been launched to engage more directly with small-to-mid sized firms, who are the fastest growing emergent sector exploring colocation services today. Though this business group has now identified colocation as a viable outsourcing strategy, the concept can still scare unfamiliar companies with its technical jargon and its significant barriers to entry.

The roster of supporting services within the Right Start platform includes end-to-end service consultation, equipment migration, racking-and-stacking, business continuity and disaster recovery, system management, enhanced customer care, and pre-arranged remote and intelligent hands contracts.

The South London hosting firm is also one of the first in the world to offer a clearly defined ‘dedicated server to server colocation pathway’, allowing clients to start with a dedicated server and migrate the physical machine into a larger colocation arrangement when ready.

Matthew Butt, Managing Director at Netwise Hosting, has always regarded the SME sector to be the company’s key demographic, and this new class of supporting services brings the organisation ever closer to realising its position as the leading colocation service provider in its field.

“We are really pushing engagement with SME’s both throughout London and the nation at large this year, utilising our impressive flexibility to meet and exceed the expectations of businesses new to the idea of outsourcing strategies. Right Start bridges the gap between our fantastic award-winning service set, and the understanding of how it all works with business owners. We do not want potential clients to be intimidated by the fantastic services we offer.”

Both new and existing clients are asked to contact the Netwise Hosting team for more information on any of the services detailed under the Right Start Colocation Support platform, and how to absorb these into plans for outsourcing infrastructure to the company’s Sutton data centre.

What is a Data Centre?
Simply put, data centres are the beating heart of the internet and everything you do online. Every time you visit a website, send an email or use an online service, you are sending and receiving information to and from data centres all around the globe. London is arguably the world’s premier connectivity hub, with a large number of leading data centres in and around the city.

PRLog (Press Release)Apr. 5, 2013HAVERHILL, Suffolk, U.K.The opportunities and challenges associated with the adoption of smart technology in higher education formed the main theme for this year’s event which brought together education professionals and suppliers from across the country.

Held in Missenden Abbey on the 5th 6th March, the conference featured speakers from Salford University, Buckinghamshire New University, Blackwell’s, Queen’s University Belfast and Tecnológico de Monterrey University, among others.

Exhibitors included MULTOS, Salto Systems, Nedap, Dot Origin, Biostore, Burall InfoSmart, MCR Systems, Uniware, TDS, EMOS Information Systems, Counter Solutions, G4S, CELCAT, Card Commerce, IDXtra, LEGIC Identsystems, Magna Carta Chipcard Solutions, Payne Security, Salto Systems, Live Register, sQuidcard and TDS.

Over 80 delegates were in attendance over the course of the two-day event, the latest in a successful series of annual events run by the Higher Education Smart Card Association (HESCA).

Richard Poynder, Chairman, commented “I was delighted with the support we received for this event, both from exhibitors and from HEI delegates.  Smart campus card schemes are now being widely used to provide automated and user-friendly support for critical functions such as attendance recording/monitoring and cashless campus.

Our delegates heard from experienced practitioners across the spectrum of applications, and gained a huge amount of useful and practical tips and recommendations in this complex and fast-moving area, where mobiles will soon supersede cards as the form factor of choice, associated in all probability with biometric authentication.”

The next quarterly HESCA meeting will take place on 4th June at Le Meridien Hotel, Piccadilly, London.  Full information including an agenda can be found at www.hesca.com.

The product family is compatible with some of the most popular off-the-shelf data acquisition systems such as LabVIEW™ and DASYLab™, and its compact and efficient design enables it to be affordably installed in dispersed or remote locations.

“The launch of the new xSenso Controller reflects our commitment to expanding Lantronix into new market opportunities – addressing a growing market that already consists of more than 400 million sensors deployed worldwide,” said Mak Manesh, vice president of product management for Lantronix.  “Our latest addition to the xSenso family delivers a wealth of new and mission-critical functionality used in industrial and control automation applications while offering the state of the art networking communications and security features.”
